Medarot Classics 1.1 patch now available
21 12 2017Today is the official launch date for Medarot Classics in Japan and Imagineer has updated the game to verison 1.1. The patch fixes some rendering glitches and the processing speed. It does not appear that this is the previously mentioned software update that adds multi-player support or the speed up functionality for original Nintendo 3DS units.
To update the game, launch your 3DS camera application by simultaneously pressing down on the L and R buttons. When there, click the QR code icon on the left side of the bottom screen. Scan the following code that’s right for the version of the game you own.

Medarot Game Fan Translation Reaches Milestone

First Medarot Game Set To Get English Fan Translation
6 06 2015It’s taken nearly 18 years, but non-Japanese readers may finally get to play the original Medarot game. Announced on the Project Rising Beetle forums, a group of fans have pledged to release an English translation patch for the first RPG in the series.
Debuting in November 1997 on the Nintendo Game Boy in both Kabuto and Kuwagata flavours, Medarot stars Hikaru Agata in his quest to become the world’s best Medarotter. After its successful launch, the game then received an enhanced Wonderswan port in 1999. In 2004 it was re-imagined with a different set of characters on the Game Boy Advance. Citing better documentation for ROM hacking, the fan translation will be based on the game’s original release. Read the rest of this entry »

Medarot DUAL software update 1.1 is now available
2 03 2014Rocket Company released a software update for Medarot DUAL on December 18th in Japan. Patch 1.1 fixes a bug that saw a connectivity error after certain battles in the story mode. Additionally, the patch provides support for downloadable content released after December 19th, 2013.

Medarot 7 receives patch in Japan
27 11 2012Rocket Company have announced that a patch for Medarot 7 is now available for download on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Among other minor bugs, version 1.1 fixes some issues users were having with accessing the WiFi Events, information in the Medal album, and an issue where parts may not work as they’re described to. To access the patch you need to first make sure your Japanese 3DS is at firmware version 4.1.0-8J, and have a memory card with at least 26 blocks of space available. To initiate the download simply scan the QR codes below by scanning these QR codes with your 3DS in the Camera app. Read the rest of this entry »
