Kotobukiya Tyrelbeetle due out in January, can form MasterBeetle

Following its announcement at the Summer Wonder Festival, Kotobukiya has formally announced its latest Medarot model kit, KWG06-C Tyrelbeetle. Due out in January, the 1/6 scale 195mm tall model kit will retail for 5,500 yen (excluding tax). It was designed by designed by Mitsunobu Tamura.

Tyrelbeetle includes three swappable visors, three pairs of fists as well as four attachable beam spikes.  Like the other kits in the line, it also supports parts from the earlier releases. Tyrelbeetle also supports the Medachange transformation ability. More so, it can be combined with Kotobukiya’s upcoming Arcbeetle Dash kit to form MasterBeetle. Read the rest of this entry »

Kotobukiya announces Tyrelbeetle model kit

As previously teased, Kotobukiya has announced a new Medarot model kit based on KWG06-C Tyrelbeetle. The reveal came at the company’s 2018 Summer Wonder Festival booth, where it was naturally displayed alongside Kotobukiya’s upcoming KBT06-C Arcbeetle Dash kit.

Little information about Tyrelbeetle was announced, beyond it being in the same 1/6th scale the previous kits. A release window and pricing details weren’t shared. Nor was there any comment on if Tyrelbeetle and Arcbeetle Dash will be able to combine to form MasterBeetle.

Kotobukiya’s Medarot line started in 2011 with Gun-Nose. Tyrelbeetle marks the ninth release in the series. Read the rest of this entry »





Kotobukiya Medarot DS KWG-10M Sanjuro model kit detailed, dated for June 2013

The previously announced Sanjuro model kit from Kotobukiya has recently been detailed. The newest in the company’s Medabots line stands at a 1/6th scale for a figure that stands at six inches tall. The kit will include ample pose ability thanks to over 160 different parts including a variety of arms, and eyes. However, the most interesting accessory included is the addition of Knight Armor’s left arm for part swapping. There’s no word on if you’ll be able to swap parts from Kotobukiya’s previous Metabee, Rokusho, and Gun-Nose kits with Sanjuro, but it appears Knight Armor’s shield arm is backwards compatible with earlier kits. Kotobukiya’s Sanjuro model kit set for 2013

Japanese magazine Hobby Japan have revealed that Kotobukiya is preparing a Sanjuro model for release in 2013. As the name implies this kit will be based on the Medarot DS Kuwagata (KWG) robot Sanjuro. A more defined release date, and pricing information were not shared. Previously Kotobukiya released model kits based off of KBT models Gun-Nose, and Metabee. Here’s an image of the Sanjuro prototype:
