Medarot S gets trailer, pre-registration bonuses

Imagineer has released the first full trailer for the upcoming smartphone title Medarot S. The video showcases the protagonists from all prior mainline Medarot video games and showcases gameplay. It features the insert song OVERTHiNKiNG BOY performed by EXiNA. Narration was done by Yū Mizushima.

The news comes alongside a relaunched website. Our new hero Arase Osumi obtains a Medarot named Cross Messiah through mysterious circumstances. Alongside the ditzy Hisaki Kaguya, he joins the Medalympics robattle competition. Like all prior mainline entries, the game utilizes the 3-on-3 relay battle system.

Medarot S to feature protagonists from earlier entries

The latest Medarot News video has brought us another morsel of information regarding Medarot S. In addition to the new characters previously mentioned, the upcoming smartphone title will also feature protagonists from earlier entries in the series. Azuma, who starred in Medarot DS and 7 returns alongside 8’s Salt and 9’s Tenma.

Medarot S leads get named, gameplay footage shown off

The Medarot franchise’s first mobile entry has received some more information. Courtesy of the latest Medarot News video on YouTube, we now know the names of the game’s lead human protagonists. The male is Arase Ohsumi with the heroine known as Hisaki Kaguya. Both names are inspired by Japanese satellites. The name of the mysterious new lead Medarot remains to be revealed.

The video also showcases a brief glimpse at gameplay footage for Medarot S. Shown without any audio, the clip demonstrates the returning relay-based battle system.

Medarot mobile game, S: Unlimited Nova, set for Fall/Winter launch

After months of silence, Imagineer has revealed the first information regarding the Medarot franchise’s proper debut on mobile devices. Titled Medarot S: Unlimited Nova, the smartphone title will feature the mainline game series’ renown 3-on-3 relay battle system. The story sees a novice Medarotter competing in the Medalympics after receiving a Medarot through unusual means. It’s said the winner of the tournament will have any wish come true. Can a rookie stand up against some of the best around, much less some shady characters?

Medarot joins Super Robot Wars X-Ω

Bandai Namco has announced that its Super Robot Wars X-Ω (Cross-Omega) mobile game will contain an event featuring the Medarot franchise. The game’s official Twitter account is streaming clips showcasing Ikki and Metabee, as well as the Phantom Retort and Rokusho. A promotional video was also produced:

Imagineer officially reveals Medarot Day announcements

Following a countdown teaser and yesterday’s unintended Famitsu leaks, Imagineer has officially announced their Medarot Day celebrations, which marked the franchise’s 21st anniversary. There were no surprises, though some additional information was revealed for the seven announcements.
