Medarot mobile game, S: Unlimited Nova, set for Fall/Winter launch

After months of silence, Imagineer has revealed the first information regarding the Medarot franchise’s proper debut on mobile devices. Titled Medarot S: Unlimited Nova, the smartphone title will feature the mainline game series’ renown 3-on-3 relay battle system. The story sees a novice Medarotter competing in the Medalympics after receiving a Medarot through unusual means. It’s said the winner of the tournament will have any wish come true. Can a rookie stand up against some of the best around, much less some shady characters?

Medarot Club Room exhibition announced

Imagineer has announced Medarot Club Room 2018 @ Kichijōji, a five-day event to be held at the Cocomaru Theater & Cafe in Kichijōji, Tokyo. Production art from the various games will be displayed, alongside insights on the development of them. Fans will also get the chance to meet up, share Medarot memories, as well as buy merchandise. Imagineer teases possible Medarot announcement for November 28th

In an interview with Famitsu, Imagineer’s Hiroyuki Hashida teases a Medarot-related announcement for November 28th. Commenting on the 20th Anniversary, he notes that the company started it off with the release of Medarot Classics and the redesigned website. He says that the company is making various arrangements to possibly announce something on November 28th, the day the original Medarot video game launched on the Game Boy in 1997. No other details were shared.

Throughout 2018, Imagineer has been celebrating the property’s 20th anniversary, through new model kits and the ongoing Weekly Medarot Broadcast, which serializes the Medarot Tepid and Medarot Re – Reloaded manga. Medarotters Fan Club issues survey about the franchise’s future

Members of the Japan-only Medarotters Fan Club operated by Imagineer have received an email containing a survey regarding the future of the Medarot franchise. It starts with personal questions for demographic breakdown (age, gender, marital/parental status), your favourite hobbies (anime, music, games, sports, gambling, etc.), which video games and platforms you’ve recently played and where you get information about the latest games from. Medarot Classics patch 2 now available

Imagineer has launched version 2.0 of Medarot Classics. The patch adds the previously announced multiplayer features and the gameplay Speed Feature for older Nintendo 3DS models. Additionally, the update fixes a number of bugs, including displaying the proper time spent play, slowdown issues that occured with long play times, a bug that prevented using the password system in Medarot 4, among others.

To update the game, launch your 3DS camera application by simultaneously pressing down on the L and R buttons. When there, click the QR code icon on the left side of the bottom screen. Scan the following code that’s right for the version of the game you own.

Medarot Classics 1.1 patch now available

Today is the official launch date for Medarot Classics in Japan and Imagineer has updated the game to verison 1.1. The patch fixes some rendering glitches and the processing speed. It does not appear that this is the previously mentioned software update that adds multi-player support or the speed up functionality for original Nintendo 3DS units.

To update the game, launch your 3DS camera application by simultaneously pressing down on the L and R buttons. When there, click the QR code icon on the left side of the bottom screen. Scan the following code that’s right for the version of the game you own.
