First scans for Medarot 7 appear, Metabee and Rokusho return?!

30 05 2012

While the quality of the images leave a lot to be desired we have our first sneak peak at the article in Famitsu regarding Medarot 7. As the images are very small it’s difficult to make judgments regarding the game’s visuals, but from it we can tell that game will retain the 3 on 3 rally battle system we’ve all come to know. As the game will star Azuma and his friends, it’s safe to say the game will be a sequel to Medarot DS (once again confirming that title is Medarot 6) but interestingly, according to Kimbles the mascot models of the game will not be new KWG, or KBT models, or even updated versions of Gun-Nose and Sanjuro (Medarot DS’s mascot KBT and KWGs) but rather franchise classics Metabee and Rokusho. He also states that series regular Horumarin will not be doing the art for the game, which is slightly weird as he’s produced art for the game while it was still under the “Medarot 3D” working title. Maybe he will take a secondary role to another artist? Only time will tell.

Medarot 7 will launch September 13, 2012 in Japan and feature over 140 different Medarot models, Street Pass content, multiplayer battles and more. Stay connected to Project Rising Beetle for all the information regarding the franchise’s first 3DS iteration!
