It’s crazy to think, but exactly 15 years to the day the very first Medarot game launched on the Nintendo Gameboy. The initial entry in the popular series starred Hikaru Agata (Henry in English releases) and his Metal Beetle. Since then the series has spawned countless spinoff manga, anime, action figures, trading cards, and of course video games. While the past fifteen years hasn’t always been roses, with a long period of hibernation in the mid-2000s the series looks poised to reclaim the spotlight.
